This fun-filled annual event brings High School & College students, and adults of all ages together for a friendly competition that supports basic literacy instruction for adults and reading enrichment for children.

30th Annual Community Spelling Bee
High school students, college students, and adults of all ages! Join us for a fun and lighthearted test of your spelling mettle. Spellers work in teams of two, so grab a friend and sign up for a morning of c-a-m-a-r-a-d-e-r-i-e and c-o-m-p-e-t-i-t-i-o-n.

In the early rounds, we keep scores but don’t eliminate anyone. Everyone gets to spell at least 10 words. The top teams move on to the final round. Winners receive a small prize and big local bragging rights! A panel of judges will pick a winner for Best Team Name, so feel free to go wild with those honey puns!
