16th Annual Literacy Connections - Spelling Bee

Once Again, The Best Bee Ever!!

The 16th Annual Literacy Connections Community Spelling Bee was held at Vassar College on March 18, 2008. More teams and sponsors participated than ever before. 62 pairs of spellers from local high schools, colleges and community members competed in a fun and spirited spelling bee. The money raised is used for programs such as adult tutoring, basic reading groups, Project Forward - ESL drop-in centers and Project READ - a children's reading enrichment program.

A Bee Sponsor is a benefactor that allows a team of two spellers to participate in the Bee competition. Sponsorship is tax deductible as allowed by law. Sponsors are businesses, individuals, and organizations who choose to support literacy. A sponsorship costs $275 per team. There are also Gold, Silver and Bronze Sponsorships available.
